The Low Budget Men are a French group of musicians from  Nice.    All the proceeds from sales of  this album go towards the charity association 20000 Vies http://www.20000-vies.com  created by singer/songwriter/rhythm guitarist and heart specialist Doctor Claude Mariottini to enable them to buy Automated External Defibrillators for towns on the French Riviera (and anywhere else where necessary) and to finance training programs for the general public relating to life saving action following heart attacks.

The band consists of  Claude Mariottini – Singer/Songwriter/Rhythm Guitar, Stéphane Mirc -Bass Guitar, Marc Piola Caselli – Lead Guitar, Eric Chabaud  – Drums, with Doreen Chanter – Backing vocals  and guest guitarist Paul Casey.

This is well played, well written, mainstream rock in the spirit of Chris Rea, Dire Straits and bands of a similar genre. Marionitti handles all of the song-writing and shows his influences without making them too obvious. The addition of rock legend Chanter on backing vocals adds to the overall feel.

The Low Budget Men can be found on Facebook – 2 pages :
