Notes

  1. 7th October 1974 – Miles with Sonny Fortune, Reggie Lucas, Pete Cosey, Dominique Gaumont, Michael Henderson, Al Foster, Mtume. As was usual with the studio work at this time this track was assembled from three different takes.
  2. 19th June 1974 – Miles with Dave Liebman, Reggie Lucas, Pete Cosey, Dominique Gaumont, Michael Henderson, Al Foster, Mtume. This master was assembled from five different takes.
  3. 6th September 1972 – Miles with Cedric Lawson, Reggie Lucas, Khalil Balakrishna, Michael Henderson, Al Foster, Badal Roy, Mtume. Notable for the inclusion of  the electric sitar.
  4. 12th June 1972 – Miles with Carlos Garnett, Bennie Maupin, Herbie Hancock, Lonnie Liston Smith (or possibly Harold Ivory Williams), Colin Walcott, Michael Henderson, Al Foster, Billy Hart, Don Alias, Badal Roy
  5. 26th July 1973 – Miles with Dave Liebman, Reggie Lucas, Pete Cosey, Michael Henderson, Al Foster, Mtume
