When The Light Is Breaking
The Swedish sister duo Caviare Days, fronted by Lina & Maja Westin, who I wrote about last November, recently got together with their long time friend Ebbot Lundberg of The Soundtrack of Our Lives to record a re-make of the final track of their debut album “When The Light Is Breaking”.
The track is produced by Mats Björke of Mando Diao and Jorge Elbrecht of New York based Violens, and mastered by Frank Artwright at Abbey Road Studios.
Often compared to the Mamas & the Papas, the Doors and Jefferson Airplane, Caviare Days are all about the psychedelic sounds of the ‘60s and ‘70s. The harmonies and song crafting on this are very good and whilst there is a nod back to the San Francisco sound there is a definite modern feel to this new release – and the live version shown below is most impressive.
