Salford Music Festival 2013 Preview Part 2 – Friday 27th

So here is part two of the Festival preview for 2013  and the Friday events – it’s possible that things may change between now and the night so please check the website for updates…..

  • Kicking off at the Ashley Brook on Liverpool Street from 8:45pm there are three acts – Jenny Tyson-Berry, Married In Vegas and Enigma Falls.
  • Another collection of Acoustic acts at Deli Lama on Chapel Street from 8pm with Blue Zen (featuring MzDee from Positronik) Nicola Jayne and Pocket Hercules.
  • More from the Acoustic Live Lounge at the Dock Bar at Media City – with from 5pm-9pm Nicola Jayne, Leigh Freda, Red Stars, Ben Jones and Words Escape Me. From 9pm at the same venue a VIP DJ session with Jon Da Silva, which is TICKETED.
  • Down at the Eagle Inn in Blackfriars there are “The Complete Works of the Salford Music Festival” , Meriel Malone, and from 11pm the Friday Fiddlers After Hours Jam.
  • The Mapas Big Band will be performing at Echo (the old Town hall Building in Eccles Town Centre) at 7pm
  • Lower Kersal Social Club will have four bands on from 9pm – Muttley, Taser Puppets, Benefit State and The Duel.
  • Salford Arms will be featuring Go Native, Judith Ude, Hot Vestry and Joe Symes and the Loving Kind
  • Broadway and Beyond will be at St Phillips and is TICKETED
  • Gig of the Night for me will be with local heroes Suzuki Method – the venue is to be announced – they will be supported by Words Escape, Death to the Strange and The Minx. TICKETED
  • As usual there are two stages at the Black Lion – Stage One features Chris Flynn, Bright Shapes, Sam Westhead and Ryan Jarvis – from 9pm-11pm. Stage Two features Wtchrs at 7:30pm. From 9pm the stage is TICKETED with sets from The Ruby’s and China White. From 11:30pm there will be a Euro After Party with DJ Meza, Doremi Fly,  La Godiva, Savage Jaw, and Sturle Dagsland.
  • The Hope on Eccles Old Road will have four bands from 8:15pm – Heat vs Lights, Harlen McStar, Onegirloneboy and Laurel Canyons.
  • The New Inn will be featuring Mama Roux and Ten Eyed Man.
  • From 7:30pm at the New Oxford you will be able to see Mog Stanley, Rosie Greenwood ft Mick Wright, Ged Wilson and Fishing for Compliments.
  • The Park in Monton Viilage will have performances from Franco and the Dreadnought, Nic Townley, and the Stetsons Electric
  • Before nipping over to Demi Lama Pocket Hercules will also be playing the Red Lion along with Tiki Black and Scuttler.
  • The Wellington at The Height will feature Mr Heart, Hot Fiction and Monday’s Company.
  • Stage One at The White Horse at Gilda Brook features Lornah Stewart, The Delaplains, The Contact High and De Palma. The Duel will have a busy night at they are gigging here as well as the LKSC.
  • The Waggon and Horses features an Acoustic Stage with Andy Doonan, Reuben Hester and Ben Jones.
  • And finally another excellent line-up at Wangies in Patricroft with a Punk Ska Reggae Night with Subliminal Movement, Dirty Money No 5, Talk Show Host, and Dysphonia.
